An American R&B singer, songwriter, actor, and New York Times bestselling author, Fantasia burst onto the scene in 2004 as the season three winner of “American Idol.” A vocal powerhouse, she followed her win with the release of her platinum-selling debut album, “Free Yourself,” and became the first artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart to debut at No. 1 with her first single, “I Believe.” She has gone on to release six additional studio albums. In 2023, Fantasia will make her feature film debut as Celie in the musical production of “The Color Purple,” produced by Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey.
